Printing and binding books was one of Dieter Roth´s consistent work forms. This volume features books of all sizes and makes spanning a never seizing source of productivity of over 40 years. Besides being a craftsman unparalleled in skill at the printing press the artist introduced new and perishable materials into book making, creating exciting multiples and challenging the aesthetics of his time. At a later stage drawings came to accompany his own poems which gives the reader a sense of Dieter Roth´s multi-faceted genius with words and materials.
